Here are my two cents:

Learning is not an Olympic thing where you have to beat the other guy. The only thing you have to beat is you, a week ago, you, a month ago, you a year ago.

Learning never has to be a race, my friend. And one is never too old to learn something. Congrats on your boosted confidence and wish you all the best for your future (which is going to be glorious for sure). :) Keep hacking and keep coding.
